Laura Callaghan, Pick Me Up Graphic Arts Festival (2015)

Laura Callaghan is a Belfast-based artist and illustrator. She exhibited her take on the nine circles of hell at the Pick Me Up Graphic Arts Festival in 2015.

One reviewer explains: “Another group of us visited ‘Pick Me Up’ at Somerset House this week, and one artist in particular really impressed us. Laura Callaghan used watercolour, Indian Ink and isograph pens to create a series of colourful, maximalist environments for the exhibition. Laura’s collection is a tounge-in-cheek, modern take of the nine circles of hell described in Dante’s Inferno. We liked it so much, two of us bought her prints!”    —Elliott Mitchell, Dalziel & Pow
