LucasArts, Day of the Tentacle (1993)
A reference in LucasArts’ 1993 graphic adventure video game Day of the Tentacle, directed by Dave Grossman and Tim Schafer: when playing as Bernard, the dialogue with the cigar salesman cycles through mentions of a few famous figures, including asking the protagonist if anyone has ever told him he looks like Dante Alighieri.
Day of the Tentacle is the sequel to the 1987 game, Maniac Mansion.
