Isaac Garzon, Jonathan Lawrence, Cameron Creque, and Josue Cortes, Purgatory Prayers (2026)
Isaac Garzon, Jonathan Lawrence, Cameron Creque, and Josue Cortes developed a memorial website titled Purgatory Prayers. This website enables students and their families, as well as alumni, to add their loved ones to a list of souls that our school community will pray for, to expedite their “ascent of the mountain.” Submit your own loved ones to be prayed for on their site HERE.
“This was a school project for us to do after reading Purgatorio. At first we wanted to make a digital ofrenda where people could put deceased people and maybe their favorite foods or items. However, we realized that many people may not know what those would be. We then decided to create a website where people could submit names for deceased people in hopes of prayers being sent to them. We tried to make business cards and passed them out and ended up getting some names from that. We worked really hard on this project and we hope it is reflected. We hope Mr. Twigg is happy with the result of this project and we wish to let him know that more stuff may be added in the future.” —Purgatory Prayers “About” page
