Dino Galiano, Dante Sculpture Garden (2018)

The Casa Galiano (East Brunswick, NJ) displays the work of the self-taught sculptor Dino Galiano. There are two Dante-related displays: the Dante Sculpture Garden and the Dante Mural, which features the illustrations of Gustave Doré.

“The sculpture garden features high relief marble carvings depicting scenes from Dante’s Divine Comedy.  The centerpiece is a solid marble sculpture entitled, The Commedia Block, which is carved on all four sides showing the divisions of Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso as well as portraits of Dante, Virgil and Beatrice. These marble carvings are displayed outdoors where natural light can affect their appearance at different times of the day.”    –Casa Galiano
